GeoFields Hosts Third Annual User Conference for Pipeline Operators in Atlanta

ATLANTA, November 6, 2008

GeoFields, Inc., today announced the completion of its third annual user conference for oil and gas pipeline operators. The event, held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Midtown Atlanta, was attended by many leading oil and gas pipeline operators and utilities, and attracted GeoFields software users from all over the United States.

Attendees networked with colleagues from other companies during events such as the CNN Studio tour, Georgia Aquarium visit and dinner receptions. Attendees gained insight and practical knowledge with client case studies and three tracks of educational product sessions, hands-on workshops and help desk sessions where users could get one-on-one assistance. The varied sessions allowed participants to choose tracks according to their needs and experience level. The hands-on workshops gave participants a chance to use software in a classroom style environment. Hands-on workshops included:

In addition to the hands-on workshops, product managers gave first looks at the upcoming releases of DataFrame™ ASG, DataFrame™ Loader, Facility Explorer™ and DataFrame™ Data Maintenance, an ArcGIS® pipeline data maintenance extension.
