RiskFrame® Analyst allows users to access the library of surveys from any vendor, discover pipeline defects, plan digs and track field observations. Analyze and identify critical pipeline defects with the array of powerful and straightforward query tools. Data is represented through a series of synchronized views including Map, Data table and Chart views to sort through query results. Potential dig sites are managed through Dig Manager, creating a permanent record in the enterprise pipeline database to track critical dates, contractor information, notes, costs and physical inspection reports from the crew. Dig-centric forms tie field observations back to survey-predicted defects.
Survey data that comes back from inspection vendors is usually in a flat file or desktop database format that can vary significantly in format. RiskFrame Analyst is based on open data standards that ensure survey data from any vendor and any type of survey tool can be managed. You can review and group the data provided by specific vendor tool types, date or any other attribute. This makes the process of querying and analyzing data vendor-neutral, allowing consistent analysis of survey data from across the system.
RiskFrame Analyst's Query Manager allows you and your organization to set your own criteria for identifying defects, quickly focusing attention on critical defects. Use the Query Builder to develop a library of customized queries in addition to the included standard set of DOT queries. Queries involve filtering data based on any criteria, then performing proximity searches to further focus on defects near HCAs, valves, low or high CP readings, or an entire range of other features. Queries are then run against a selected inline inspection survey with the results displayed in multiple linked displays.
Results within RiskFrame Analyst allow users to view the information in much more powerful displays than a simple flat-file spreadsheet:
The three views are linked; as you zoom or scroll through one view, the other two are synchronized to display the same data range.
RiskFrame Analyst creates, determines and manages dig sites for defects that require physical inspection and maintenance. Dig management options are provided so you can set up digs or the application can assist in expanding the dig site to include other nearby defects. Work order information can be associated with the dig from the corporate field maintenance system. The work order results and physical inspection data are then published to the database.
Once a dig has been issued, fieldwork takes place. When work has been completed, the crew completes and returns the defect log for entry of the observations against survey predictions. The observed records from the dig site can be compared to the inline inspection report to gain insight if assessment tools are over or under reporting.
