Account Manager NEW

GeoFields is expanding and currently has openings for Account Managers. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop and manage large accounts throughout North America, and will work with a progressive team of software engineers and technical analysts to develop and deliver comprehensive solutions for our clients in the pipeline industry.

General Description:
Account Managers are responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing new and existing account relationships. The duties will include qualifying prospects, making presentations, preparing proposals, forecasting revenue, networking at industry events and introducing new and existing products to the marketplace. The successful candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or pipeline integrity and data management.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage new and existing client relationships
Present GeoFields products and services to the marketplace
Provide client/market feedback and requirements to Product Managers
Represent company at trade shows and conventions as required
Proposal preparation
Plan and forecast revenue for client base
Coordinate technical client meetings and presentations

Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Proven history of successful prospect development and account management
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field

Database Developer NEW

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of database and geographic information system (GIS) professionals designing and delivering products and solutions to GeoFields oil and gas pipeline clients.

General Description:
The position of Database Developer is responsible for designing, implementing and administrating databases, as well as working with product development staff to define application and data access workflows. Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle processes is a must, while knowledge of ESRI ArcSDE administration is highly desirable. The position requires a motivated, enthusiastic professional with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications:
We are currently looking for a professional with a minimum of three years experience in database development with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle. The individual should have training and/or work experience with: relational database design, MS SQL Server and/or Oracle programming, and a strong willingness to understand business-specific data, requirements and workflows. Must be self-motivated and a team player.

Requirements:

Database Development:
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views and reports.
- Design and implement data access workflow processes.
- Comprehensively document all appropriate database processes.
Database Design:
- Work with product development and external business clients to account for data model requirements.
- Manage scripted data model build releases for delivery to off-site database implementations
- Comprehensively document all appropriate data model modifications
SDE and Geodatabase:
- Perform ArcSDE implementation, configuration and maintenance
- Knowledge of ESRI Geodatabase functionality, particularly tools used for schema maintenance and data analysis
Database Administration Tasks:
- Implement database security.
- Maintain backup and recovery plans.
- Manage multiple concurrent database server environments (Software Development, QA, Production)
- Troubleshoot performance issues.

System Administrator NEW

GeoFields, a recognized leader of managed data solutions for the oil and gas pipeline industry, is seeking a bright, innovative, problem-solver with 2+ years of experience that enjoys hardware and software challenges involved with adds/moves/changes and upgrades. This person will troubleshoot and document internal technical problems related to network connectivity, configuration and maintenance in an environment that includes workstations, servers, printers and plotter installations and backups. This individual will support all of the GeoFields internal corporate network as well as a 24x7 production hosted environment. This position will also be responsible for all telecom setup and support. Occasional off-hours and weekend work will be necessary.

Requirements:
An undergraduate or associates degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other science and technology discipline. Previous experience with desktop and server support on Windows 2000/2003/XP/2008/Windows 7, Microsoft Exchange 2003, IIS, and Oracle/SQL Server. Necessary networking skills include AD, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, WINS and DHCP, among others. Knowledge of effective bandwidth, imaging and backup management. Exposure to networking and security hardware and software including routers, switches, hubs, enterprise anti-virus, SAN, VPN and firewalls.

Desired Skills:

Experience with ESRI geographic information systems software including, ArcGIS, ArcSDE, and ArcServer.
Experience with frame relay circuits, Checkpoint, Watchguard, VMWare, GFI MailEssentials, GFI Server Monitor, MS Exchange 2010, Sharepoint, Veritas Backup Exec

GIS Software Engineer NEW

GeoFields, a recognized leader of managed data solutions for the oil and gas pipeline industry, is seeking talented GIS software engineers. The successful candidate should have experience with Visual Basic, Visual Basic.NET, Active Server Pages and be versed with newer Microsoft technologies. This position requires an individual with strong communication and collaboration skills as well as excellent coding habits including code documentation, unit testing, and the ability to follow specifications and coding standards.

General Description:
This role will code new product features based upon functional requirements and technical specifications, conduct unit testing of produced work to validate functionality, conduct unit testing to ensure performance goals are achieved, resolve product defects reported by product support and quality assurance, follow the established software development methodology, review the work of peers to ensure consistency and quality, provide status updates of work progress and keep up to date with emerging Microsoft technologies.

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience in coding both Web and Windows Form based applications using Microsoft technologies
At least 4 years of experience with C#
Experience in writing software utilizing COM, ADO, ADO.NET, and XML
Experience in writing software that runs against either Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
Extensive experience with ESRI ArcObjects, ESRI ArcInfo, an ability to design and construct extensions in ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Server
An understanding of coordinate systems and projection systems, and the ability to work with and program against ESRI geodatabases
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual skills and a strong working knowledge of object-oriented concepts and software patterns. Prefer candidates that are self-motivated and able to participate in the organization and execution of large-scale projects.
