GIS Support Analyst

GeoFields, Inc. is looking for a high-energy, self-directed and customer-focused individual to provide technical software support to our suite of software products. Our ideal candidate will be a Geography or GIS professional well versed in the usage of Esri's ArcGIS Desktop and Server products. After becoming proficient with the product suite, they will be responsible for responding to e-mails and phone calls from customers, prospects and peers. Desired Skills:

GIS Analyst

General Description:
A GIS Analyst is responsible for day-to-day project execution and data deliverables. Projects and tasks may include but are not limited to data collection and integration, map production, and advanced spatial analysis. The successful candidate must have one to two years of proven GIS experience. Experience with ArcGIS 9.x, SQL, and MS Access are required; experience with Python scripting and linear referencing are strongly desired.

GIS QA Analyst

The primary role is to develop and establish standards and measures for these products within the organization. This includes writing test plans, defects and enhancements into the tracking system and test scripts for automation purposes. Our ideal candidate will be a Geography or GIS professional well versed in the usage of Esri's ArcGIS Desktop and Server products. The candidate must be able to manage customer expectations including the ability to direct multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. He or she must be detailed, creative, solutions-driven, enjoy learning new technologies as well as working in a team environment.

GIS Software Engineer

GeoFields, a recognized leader of managed data solutions for the oil and gas pipeline industry, is seeking talented GIS software engineers. The successful candidate should have experience with C#, Esri ArcObjects, and be versed with newer Microsoft.NET Framework technologies. This position requires an individual with strong communication and collaboration skills as well as excellent coding habits including code documentation, unit testing, and the ability to follow specifications and coding standards.

General Description:
This role will code new product features based upon functional requirements and technical specifications, conduct unit testing of produced work to validate functionality, conduct unit testing to ensure performance goals are achieved, resolve product defects reported by product support and quality assurance, follow the established software development methodology, review the work of peers to ensure consistency and quality, provide status updates of work progress and keep up to date with emerging Microsoft technologies.

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience in coding both Web and Windows Form based applications using Microsoft technologies
At least 3 years of experience with C#
Experience in writing software utilizing ADO.NET, and XML
Experience in writing software that runs against either Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
Extensive experience with Esri ArcObjects, Esri ArcGIS, an ability to design and construct extensions in ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Server
An understanding of coordinate systems and projection systems, and the ability to work with and program against Esri geodatabases
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual skills and a strong working knowledge of object-oriented concepts and software patterns. Prefer candidates that are self-motivated and able to participate in the organization and execution of large-scale projects.

Pipeline Integrity Engineer

GeoFields, Inc., a leading oil and gas pipeline application development, data management, and consulting firm, is expanding and presently has multiple Pipeline Integrity Engineer positions open at various levels. General Description:
This person will be responsible for day-to-day project execution and deliverables related to GeoFields integrity and risk consulting activities. Projects and tasks may include but are not limited to consulting, risk model configuration, evaluation of assessment results, audit support, High Consequence Area (HCA) analysis, and related engineering activities. Experience with GIS implementation in support of Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS) is strongly desired.

Requirements:

Develops and implements standards and procedures to support the Integrity Management Program (IMP).
Develops written Integrity Management Programs for a variety of oil and gas pipeline operators worldwide
Identifies preventive and mitigative measures and processes to determine reassessment intervals and methods
Provides engineering support for pipeline integrity projects including MOP/MAOP calculations, evaluation of defects and repair recommendations.
Evaluates integrity assessment results to determine need for temporary pressure reductions and/or the need for repairs and associated repair methods.
Client satisfaction
Technical client meetings and presentations as needed
Ability to communicate task status, needs and issues to team members
Ability to meet given task scheduling and budget requirements
Stays current with pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessment methods, repair methods and other applicable technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Metallurgy degree is preferred.
5 years of transmission integrity experience
Proven history of successful project execution
Strong communication skills

Desired Requirements:

Experience with GIS- based Pipeline Data Management, Risk Assessment, and Integrity Management processes using the Esri GIS platform.
PE license or EIT

General Description:
Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The sales engineer must be able to adequately demonstrate the technology and product positioning to both the business and technical users. The candidate must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The successful candidate will have technical knowledge and experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and/or pipeline integrity and data management.

Responsibilities:

Develop, deliver, and present product demonstrations
Able to deliver a consistent and logical message that represents the GeoFields vision and product lifecycle.
Presentations and company representation at client sites, shows, conferences, and seminars.
Able to respond to technical aspects within customer proposals (RFIs, RFPs, etc)
Demonstrate ability to communicate customer requirements to the product management team.
Coordinate technical client meetings and presentations.
