Field or office-based completion of electronic forms for pipeline inspection, maintenance, engineering tasks and event reporting. Publishing of forms data for updating and sharing enterprise-wide.

DataFrame™ Forms, a workflow-driven form entry and management system, allows your field and office users to collect and enter complex data such as inspection reports, patrol reports and incident reports. Data collection is straightforward through an easy-to-use interface, improving data accuracy and consistency. Once collected, data is passed through an approval process then published to the enterprise database. The highly integrated nature of DataFrame Forms makes it perfect for organizations that want a solid, repeatable process for the collection of data that eliminates the errors that occur in traditional processes. The end result is data that is useful and up-to-date for pipeline operation and integrity management.

DF-L iconWorkflow-Driven Validation

DataFrame Forms offers complete control over the level of validation used to check forms, allowing business processes to enhance data quality. If the form is being entered by a field engineer, the level of validation prevents them from entering invalid data, such as out-of-range test readings. However, if the data entry is from a historical paper form, the level of validation is reduced to accommodate actual entries on those documents, which are reviewed and validated by skilled personnel further down the workflow.

DF-L iconClient-Driven Forms

Custom forms are developed to ensure the system remains flexible in supporting a wide range of different form types, and makes the system flexible as individual forms evolve and business needs change.

DF-L iconApproval-Based Publishing

The approval process that DataFrame Forms provides ensures that field managers review and approve appropriate forms. The approval process is flexible enough to allow the same form to take multiple paths through the approval process based on what data is entered. For example, an extreme test reading might flag the form for review and approval by a specialist engineer, whereas a test reading in an acceptable range might simply move the form to the archive for use in later analyses.

DF-L iconCombined Online and Offline Environment

Whether you are in the office or in the field, DataFrame Forms captures important data in a familiar environment. Fill in forms in a field environment, directly capturing information digitally. Forms are then synchronized to the office. Alternatively, digital forms are entered from traditional hand-written paper documents by uploading the scanned forms and entering the data into a digital version of the historical form. Regardless of how the data is captured, the information becomes available to update the pipeline database and ensure that field observations and activities are properly taken into account through the decision making process.

DF-L iconTask-Driven Workflows

Integration into human and system activities is uncomplicated with task-driven workflows. Workflows for the form define how a form moves through the approval process. Decision points are set to redirect forms that meet defined criteria or that have certain types of validation errors.

DF-L iconIntegrated Business Intelligence

With DataFrame Forms, real-time calculation and validation assure that users fill out the forms completely and accurately. This minimizes the chance for invalid entries, improving data accuracy and consistency. Completion time of forms is also minimized through the use of pre-populated data fields and auto-complete fields, reducing the need for users to re-enter data that already exists.
